Big White Ski Resort Ltd Accredited with #SafeTravels Global Protocols Stamp
The stamp was designed to create consistency throughout the international tourism industry, in both the private and public sector, and to allow travellers to feel safe and secure in their travel plans once the world opens up.
“Since the beginning of the pandemic, Big White Ski Resort Ltd and Big White Central Reservations Ltd have adopted and educated our team members and guests on the highest standards of COVID-19 protocols,” says Michael J. Ballingall, Senior Vice President at BWSR. “While the borders may be closed right now, we are looking forward to a future where safe and seamless travel is the norm. This accreditation is world-recognized, and we will continue to meet and exceed these standards once the world opens up.”
To achieve Safe Travels certification, a tourism destination’s protocols must adhere to the following four pillars:
- Operational and Staff Preparedness: To ensure that attractions can optimize operational quality and delivery, as well as having trained staff to prepare and execute the operational plans.
- Ensuring a Safe Experience: To deliver a safe experience for their staff and their guests through enhanced cleanliness and hygiene best practices.
- Rebuild trust and confidence: To enhance trust and confidence through transparency and communication with their visitors.
- Implement appropriate policies: To enable policies and implement them at a governmental level.
