Ice climbing is an exhilarating winter sport filled with the challenge to climb to the top. Tinastin Adventures, a family owned rock and ice climbing business, has expertly trained an avid climbing staff to help and encourage you all the way. Our impressive 60 foot ice tower located in Happy Valley Adventure Park is constructed out of 4 telephone poles with 3 foot thick ice, with beginner to advanced options. All ages are welcome to participate in this exciting activity to conquer to the top, making this a fun family experience. Climbing gear for your ice climbing adventure is included with your ticket purchase.

Wednesday - Sunday 10:00am - 8:00pm
Holiday Period:
December 19 - January 2
March 15 - March 29
7 days a week 10:00am - 8:00pm
January 3 - March 14
Wednesday - Sunday 10:00am - 8:00pm
March 30 - April 11 (end of season or weather permitting)
Wednesday - Sunday 10:00am - 8:00pm


Climbing Rates (1 group per booking time): 

Single person climb $50/30 mins
Couples climb $60/30 mins
Family/Friends climb together (5 person max) $120/hour
Add an additional 30 mins for $30
 
Group Bookings (10 person max) $200/hour
24 hour notice required due to extra staff member required. 

Prices include tax and are subject to change without notice.

  • No previous experience necessary.

  • Arrive at scheduled climb time.
  • Be prepared for varying weather conditions and temperatures.
  • Wear warm winter clothing with layers. 
  • Bring a camera!


How to Get There

  • From the Village Centre - take Lara's Gondola to Happy Valley, turn left and cross the bridge into the Happy Valley Adventure Park
  • By Vehicle - Park in the Happy Valley Parking Lot, proceed to the Adventure Park


Facilities

  • Ice tower with 4 sides of varying difficulty.
  • Cabin for putting gear on with limited un-secured storage.
  • Hot snacks/beverages available for purchase in the Happy Valley Day Lodge a short walk away
  • Heated Washroom facilities in the Adventure Park.
